June 14, 2010 – In support of Table to Table’s mission to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by collecting fresh perishable food and delivering it to those in need, participating Panera Bread locations in Paramus, Edgewater, East Rutherford, Northvale, Woodcliff Lake and Fair Lawn are collecting donations at their registers that will go directly to Table to Table. Customers can simply add a dollar, or two, to their receipt and those contributions will directly fund the work of Table to Table.

Panera Bread owner Jim Nawn stated, “New Jersey has been our home for more than a decade. We value our partnership with the local food banks that provide such important support for so many families. Thanks to our great customers, we are able to support the vitality of our local communities as well in their time of need.”

March 24, 2010 – On Friday, March 12, Hamrah’s, one of the area’s best-loved specialty boutiques, hosted an afternoon of spring shopping to benefit Table to Table, Northern New Jersey’s only dedicated food rescue organization. Owners Lilli and Joyce Hamrah, long-time supporters of Table to Table, hosted the event, which featured informal modeling of luxurious clothing from top American and European designers. Table to Table raised more than $20,000 through donations, generous contributions and proceeds from the afternoon.

Shoppers enjoyed Champagne and passed hors d’oeuvres while choosing from the boutique’s collection of beautiful sweaters, feminine suiting and dressing, sophisticated separates and contemporary sportswear.

September 2009 – Continuing its longtime support of Table to Table, on September 10, Panera Bread locations in Northern and Central New Jersey will unveil new fall menu items with delicious samples throughout the day – and donate 20% of sales of bread and (dozen or more) bagel purchases that day to support Table to Table’s food rescue mission. Seven Panera locations are participating: Route 4 W in Paramus; Paramus Park Mall; Tices Corner – Woodcliff Lake; Edgewater; East Rutherford; Northvale; and Fairlawn.

“This is a great opportunity to sample some of Panera’s fabulous fall flavors while also supporting the work of Table to Table,” said Ilene Isaacs, Executive Director. Panera’s new menu items include BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad, Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich, a delicious and high fiber Power Breakfast Sandwich, and a new Macadamia Nut Blondie.

August 2009 – Bright Side Manor, Bergen County’s only non-profit assisted living facility dedicated to serving low-income older adults, will honor Table to Table, the area’s only dedicated food-rescue program, at its annual Garden Party on Sunday, September 13, 2009, from 1pm to 4pm, at 300 Teaneck Road in Teaneck. Tickets are $50 for individuals and tables seating eight are $350. All proceeds from the Garden Party will benefit Bright Side Manor.

Pat Battle, Anchor and New Jersey Reporter for WNBC News 4 New York, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon. Battle joined WNBC News 4 New York in April 1996 and serves as co-anchor for Weekend Today in New York.

“We are delighted to recognize Table to Table for its invaluable food donations over the last ten years,” said Elizabeth Davis, Bright Side Manor’s Executive Director. “One of Table to Table’s refrigerated trucks makes a stop at Bright Side at least three times a week, providing our residents with the fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy and meat that they require to maintain a healthy diet. With Table to Table’s help, we are able to lower our operating expenses and make assisted living more affordable for low-income elderly.”

August 2009 – To support the work of Table to Table, Northern New Jersey’s only dedicated food rescue program, bergenPAC has generously donated a limited number of premium tickets to “An Evening of Dishing and Debates with the Housewives of NY and NJ” on Saturday, October 17. These premium tickets ($150) include superior orchestra seats and an intimate Champagne reception with the housewives. This spring, two renowned chefs lend their star power to Table to Table’s spring signature events.
Thomas Keller of the iconic Michelin three-star restaurants French Laundry in Napa Valley and Per Se in
New York City and Marc Forgione, 2010 winner of “The Next Iron Chef” and the youngest American-born
chef to receive a coveted Michelin star in three consecutive years, will join the area’s most beloved
restaurants for Table to Table’s premier food and wine events, the Chefs Gala and the all-new Burger Blast.
The settings range from formal to informal, but they share common themes: imaginative food and
interesting wines served by some of the area’s most beloved restaurateurs, including Kevin Kohler of Café
Panache, David Burke of David Burke Townhouse and Peter Kelly of Xaviars at Piermont. The events support
Northeast New Jersey’s first and only food rescue program.

“Table to Table has become one of the most essential services in our communities,” says Claire
Insalata Poulos, founder of the food rescue organization. “Proceeds from these events will further our
mission to collect prepared and perishable food that would otherwise be discarded and deliver it, free of
charge, to organizations that serve the hungry in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic and Essex counties. This year, we
will deliver enough food to serve more than twelve million meals. ”

On Thursday, May 2, the black-tie Chefs Gala at Alpine Country Club in Demarest welcomes celebrated
chef, restaurateur and cookbook writer Thomas Keller as guest of honor. Keller’s award-winning Napa
Valley restaurant The French Laundry spawned a restaurant empire that also includes Bouchon, Bouchon
Bakery and ad hoc in Napa, CA; Per Se and Bouchon Bakery in New York City; and Bouchon and Bouchon
Bakery in Las Vegas and Beverly Hills. The event showcases seven award-winning chefs and their signature
dishes, including Kevin Kohler of Café Panache, David Burke of David Burke Townhouse, Ryan DePersio of
Fascino, Ben Pollinger of Oceana, Sebastien Rouxel of Per Se and French Laundry, and Peter Kelly of Xaviars
at Piermont,. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. A Live Auction and musical entertainment by Mark Sganga
are highlights. Tickets are $450 per person, $600 for VIP Patron tickets. VIP Patron tables of 10 are $6,000
and include priority seating, special recognition and a VIP gift bag.

On Wednesday, May 22, Chef Marc Forgione serves as guest of honor at Table to Table’s inaugural
Burger Blast at Montammy Golf Club in Alpine. Winner of the Food Network’s “The Next Iron Chef” in
2010, Forgione is the youngest American-born chef to receive a coveted Michelin star in three consecutive
years. His eponymous bistro in Tribeca and new steakhouse, American Cut, in Atlantic City, are testament
to his skill and creativity. Hosted by ABC Eyewitness News’ Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans, the event
brings together 30 of the area’s best-loved restaurants, all serving something imaginative “between two
buns.” Their dishes will be complemented by a selection of wines hand-selected by Chuck Russo of Carlo
Russo’s Wine & Spirit World. Participating restaurants include The Capital Grille Paramus, River Palm
Terrace, Varka Estiatorio, White Manna and Axia Taverna. The lively and informal evening begins at 6:30
p.m. and features a silent auction and live entertainment by Mark Sganga & Friends. Tickets are $300 per
person and $350 for VIP Patron tickets. VIP Patron tables of 10 are $3,500 and include priority seating,
special recognition and a VIP gift bag.

December 2008 – Table to Table has been named “2008 Organization of the Year” by the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Ilene Isaacs and President Claire Insalata Poulos were on hand to accept the award, which was presented by Chamber President Tom O’Brien at the Chamber’s Annual Holiday Luncheon on December 10, 2008 at the Sheraton Crossroads in Mahwah.

In recognizing Table to Table, O’Brien said “Table to Table provides for the needs of so many in our community, turning food that would be wasted into a real value for the community. We are pleased to honor the tireless efforts of its volunteers and staff, who regularly see to it that thousands of people in New Jersey do not go to bed hungry.” Executive Director Ilene Isaacs shared the honor with the many volunteers and donors who help Table to Table every day. “We could not do what we do without the support of so many of our friends who are here today,” added Isaacs.

Have holiday gifts wrapped and shipped right from The Shops at Riverside

November 2008 – This holiday season, volunteers of Table to Table, Northeast New Jersey’s only dedicated food rescue program, are offering a complete Holiday Gift Wrap service at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, NJ. The gift wrapping service is conveniently located on Level 1 by Cole Haan and is open 10 am to 10 pm, Monday through Saturday, December 1 – 24. Shoppers can bring their gifts to be wrapped (including gifts purchased outside the shopping mall) and even mail from a U.S. Postal Service station located in the Gift Wrap store. 100% of gift wrap proceeds benefit Table to Table. Prices for gift wrap start at $5.

“We are delighted to be back at The Shops at Riverside, offering shoppers the opportunity to shop, wrap and ship all in one spot while making the lives of our hungry neighbors a little bit brighter,” said Ilene Isaacs, Executive Director of Table to Table. September 2008 – Chuck Russo (left), owner of Carlo Russo’s Wine & Spirit World in Ho Ho Kus and tireless Table to Table volunteer, accepted a $25,000 “Mark of Distinction” grant from Bryan Del Bondio, president of Markham Vineyards, last month in Napa, CA. On behalf of Table to Table, Russo applied for the grant, citing record-high food prices coupled with rising fuel
costs to draw a compelling picture of Table to Table’s food rescue mission. “The cost of food has risen to its highest rate in two decades,” said Russo. “The situation is devastating for those living on the economic edge.”
