Table to Table’s food donors — with their donations of fresh, surplus fruits, vegetables, grains, meat, fish, and prepared foods — help us bridge the gap between food waste and food insecurity in northern New Jersey. Our trucks rescue large donations while smaller ones are handled through our I-Rescue App. We accept donations from grocers, restaurants, caterers, universities, farmers markets, and more. Are You Legally Protected as a Food Donor?
The U.S. Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act (Public Law 104-210) and the New Jersey Food Bank Good Samaritan Act (N.J.S.A. 24.4A-1 to -5) provide immunity from civil and criminal liability to donors of prepared and perishable food who give it to nonprofit organizations.
