Food Donors

Our Food Donor Partners Make the Difference in More than One Way

Table to Table’s Food Donors play a critical role in the success we experience in delivering fresh, nutritious food to those in Northern New Jersey who need it most. We work with the top food sources known for their high quality and efficiency, allowing us to provide fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, meat, fish and more. Additionally, our donors are helping the environment by reducing the amount of food waste.

Interested in Donating Food?

We work with both small and large distributors and accept donations from grocers, restaurants, caterers, universities, farmers markets, and more. We accept viable food donations of all sizes, and all donations are kept within your local community agencies. Please contact Michael Cerstvik to learn how you can become a food donor or fill out our Food Donation Intake form.

What are the Food Donation Guidelines?

Safety is paramount when rescuing food. Click the button below to learn about our guidelines for rescuing different categories of food, including: produce, frozen, prepared foods, baked goods, meat, poultry, & fish, and dairy products.

How do I Donate Food?

  • 1.) Fill out the brief form below.
  • 2.) Your location will be added to our Table to Table I-Rescue App once the form is completed.
  • 3.) Your food donation will be matched to nearby community partners.
  • 4.) The rescues will go live for volunteers to pick up at the designated days & times.

Tax Benefits from Donation?

When food goes to landfills instead of being donation, it is a missed opportunity in so many ways, including savings on storage, handling & transportation expenses–tax benefits too! Please contact Michael Cerstvik to learn more!

Are You Legally Protected as a Food Donor?

The Federal Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act (Public Law 104-210) and the New Jersey Food Bank Good Samaritan Act (N.J.S.A. 24.4A-1 to -5) provide immunity from civil and criminal liability to donors of prepared and perishable food who give it to nonprofit organizations.
