5 Easy Steps to Start Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch in Your School, Company, or Community!
1. Assign a Team Captain, set your fundraising goal, and create your list of participants. Choose to fundraise using Table to Table’s signature brown paper lunch bags (which we will provide to you) and/or via a customized fundraising webpage that Table to Table will create for you!
2. Contact Table to Table’s Senior Director of Development, Bob Martin, to help you set up your campaign. We will work with you to create flyers, set up your landing page and QR code, provide brown bags and other supplies, and brainstorm ideas to make your campaign as successful as possible!
3. Pick a day to host your Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch event and rally your team! Share flyers, make posters, and spread the word to your fellow students or coworkers!
4. On the day of your campaign, have everyone brown-bag their lunch and donate what you’d normally spend on lunch for the day — or even the week or the month. Companies — consider hosting an employee lunch that day to foster participation and bring your team together for a common cause!
5. Place your ‘lunch’ money in the brown bag provided, seal it and it will be collected by the Team Captain. Or, donate online via your school’s/company’s customized landing page. At the end of the campaign, we will help you tally all the donations so you can report back on your total impact. Every $1 raised provides enough food for 10 healthy meals!
Bag a Lunch Events
Energize your school by organizing Bag a Lunch class teams for friendly competition with other classes. Involve your principal, your PTA/HSA, faculty and parent community to support the challenge. Publicize the event via the school’s newsletter and social media. You can even invite your town’s Mayor, Council members, or Superintendent to help celebrate the campaign!
Not in school? This concept works well in companies too! In fact, it makes a great employee engagement activity.
