Table to Table and DoorDash Partner to Support New Jersey Neighbors in Need
DoorDash’s Sponsorship of Bag-a-Lunch, Help a Bunch Will Provide 25,000 Meals
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ (April 28, 2022) — Table to Table, New Jersey’s first food rescue organization, today announced a partnership with DoorDash (NYSE: DASH) that includes a financial sponsorship of the nonprofit’s campaign, Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch, which is equivalent to 25,000 meals. Additionally, DoorDash will power deliveries of meals to recipient partners in communities in need. The new, year-long relationship supports the organization and DoorDash’s shared mission to help eliminate food insecurity throughout Northern New Jersey.
“The Table to Table team is very excited about the opportunity to further expand our reach into communities faced with the challenges of food insecurity,” said Ilene Isaacs, Executive Director of Table to Table. “DoorDash’s commitment to support communities in need fittingly complements our mission,” Isaacs concluded.
As part of the sponsorship, DoorDash will power deliveries that support food rescues that are initiated through Table to Table’s I-Rescue app. Through the end of 2022, Dashers will rescue food at donors such as grocery stores and restaurants and deliver fresh, nutritious food to recipient agencies such as pantries and shelters.
