Efficiency is Our Guiding Principle

Table to Table is one of the most cost-effective hunger relief programs in the state of New Jersey and one of the most efficient not-for-profits in the country. More specifically, we operate a fleet of refrigerated vehicles for the daily pick-up and delivery of fresh food, eliminating the need for storage or warehouses. Our trucks start and end each day empty. And, as a result of our efficiency and transparency, we’ve received the 4-star rating by Charity Navigator for the 10th consecutive year and earned a Guidestar Exchange Platinum Level Designation.

Accepts No Government Funding

Table to Table relies 100% on our own efforts to raise the funds needed for our operation. Thanks to the generous continued support of exceptional corporate partners, including American Express, Samsung Electronics, American Airlines and BMW, and many kindhearted individuals.

Fundraising & Management Expenses Never Exceeds 4%

At Table to Table, at least 98 cents of every dollar goes directly to the operation of our vehicles and the delivery of food. The key to our operation has always been an emphasis on efficiency and effectiveness, enabling us to feed the greatest number of people with the freshest and most nutritious food. We maintain an internal cost to our organization of 10 cents per meal.

Delivering Food for Free

Unlike other hunger relief organizations, Table to Table does not charge any fee whatsoever to the agencies receiving our deliveries. This is accomplished without charging a fee of any sort to either food donors or recipient partners.

  • Our program is extraordinarily efficient. Table to Tabltruck-new-logoe operates a fleet of refrigerated vehicles for the daily pick-up and delivery of fresh food. Our trucks start and end each day empty. And, because we are local and have trucks right in the area, we can respond quickly to unscheduled calls.
  • Table to Table is the most cost effective hunger relief program in the entire state of New Jersey and one of the most efficient not-for-profits in the entire country. We are proud to have been awarded 4-star status by Charity Navigator for the 6th consecutive year and earned a Guidestar Platinum Level Designation.
  • We take no government money.  We rely solely on our own efforts to raise the funds needed for our operation.  Our success is due to the support of exceptional corporate partners such as American Express, Samsung Electronics, American Airlines, BMW, and the support of hundreds of local companies and generous individuals.
  • Our fund raising and management expenses never exceed 4%. At Table to Table, at least 98 cents of every dollar goes directly to the operation of our vehicles and the delivery of food.
  • We deliver food for free.  Unlike other hunger relief organizations, Table to Table does not charge any fee whatsoever to the agencies receiving our deliveries.

With five refrigerated vehicles and dedicated drivers, Table to Table picks up food that is unable to be sold, but is still of good quality, from a wide range of food establishments. This food is delivered on the day it is donated, avoiding the need for warehouse facilities and keeping Table To Table’s costs limited to the operation of the vehicles.

Table to Table has been awarded four-star status for the 5th consecutive year by Charity navigator, ranked 2nd in the state for efficiency and have earned a Guidestar Exchange Platinum Level designation. It is one of the most cost-effective hunger relief programs in the entire state and one of the most efficient not-for-profits in the United States.
