NJ Food Rescue Challenges Individuals and Corporations toHelp Raise Enough to Deliver 1 Million Meals to HungryNeighbors One Step at-a-Time with Table to Table’s VirtualWalk on April 1-30
Join Table to Table’s Virtual Walk and Help Alleviate Food Insecurity in NJ
Saddle Brook, NJ – On April 1-30, Table to Table, New Jersey’s first food rescue organization, is hosting a Virtual Walk to raise funds and provide the equivalent of 1 million meals to food insecure neighbors in New Jersey. The Virtual Walk is a flexible and fun event that allows participants to choose their own pace, location, and mode of transportation, whether it be walking, running, biking, or hiking.
Participants have the opportunity to win amazing prizes from popular brands such as Chipotle, DoorDash, and Target by entering the photo contest and using the hashtag #tabletotablewalk. The more participants fundraise, the more prizes they will be eligible to win. Registration is free, with a suggested donation of $25. To register or become a sponsor, visit www.tabletotable.org/virtualwalk.
Denise Andersen, Table to Table’s Executive Director, highlights the importance of supporting the event, stating, “With rising costs, many seniors, veterans, and families are struggling to choose between paying the rent or buying nutritious food. They really need our help. Table to Table’s Virtual Walk is an easy and flexible way for individuals and corporations to rally and help alleviate food insecurity.”
New Jersey has a high rate of food insecurity, with 1 in 9 residents and nearly 1 in 5 children not knowing where their next meal will come from. By participating in Table to Table’s Virtual Walk, individuals can contribute to ending this issue.
In addition to supporting a worthy cause, participants have the opportunity to win prizes from popular brands. The contest categories include Best Group Theme, Most Scenic Walk, and Favorite Running Partner. The more participants fundraise, the more prizes they are eligible to win.
Table to Table’s Virtual Walk is made possible by the generosity of Wegmans and DoorDash, who serve as Silver and Bronze sponsors, respectively. The event’s prize partners are Life Time and Rosa Mexicano (The Shops at Riverside location only).
