New Jersey’s Premier Culinary Event— Table to Table’s Chefs Gala— Resumes In Person on Wednesday, September 21

Nonprofit Proudly Announces its 2022 Honorees: Four-Time James Beard Award Winning Chef Michel Nischan, and Medical-Technology Leader, BD

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, July 26, 2022 –Together for the first time in years, notable chefs, foodies, and philanthropists will convene for an unforgettable evening of exquisite dining and unparalleled altruism, benefitting our hungry NJ neighbors. Table to Table’s Chefs Gala will take place on Wednesday, September 21st at Englewood Country Club at 6:30pm. Table to Table, New Jersey’s first and most successful food rescue organization, is thrilled to announce its 2022 Chef Gala Honorees: four-time James Beard Award winning chef, Michel Nischan and, this year’s Corporate Honoree, global medical technology leader, BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company). The Chefs Gala, Table to Table’s most anticipated and vital event of the year, highlights celebrated chefs who meticulously prepare their delicious selections, expertly paired with the finest wines. Plus, a high-end, live auction, an incredibly popular aspect, will feature extravagant travel, food, and wine experiences.

About the 2022 Chef Gala Honorees

Each year, Table to Table honors a prominent chef based on their culinary excellence as well as support of our mission. Recently, we also welcomed our first corporate honoree for their leadership excellence. Join us in welcoming this year’s Chefs Gala honorees:

Michel Nischan is a four-time James Beard Award winning chef with over 40 years of leadership advocating for a more healthful, sustainable food system.  Chef Nischan is an active thought leader advocating for everyone in America to exercise their right to feed themselves and their families well, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, or economic condition.

Chefs Gala Corporate Honoree

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world, and its headquarters is located right here in NJ. BD helps healthcare customers enhance outcomes, lower costs, increase efficiencies, improve safety, and expand access to health care.

Special support is being provided by American Airlines, BD, Crestron, Inserra Supermarkets and Summit Associates. Wines for the Chefs Gala are expertly coordinated by Carlo Russo Wine & Spirit World.

About Table to Table

Table to Table (http://www.tabletotable.org) is a community-based, not-for-profit food rescue program that collects fresh and perishable food which would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to organizations that serve people experiencing hunger in Bergen, Hudson, Essex, and Passaic counties in Northeastern NJ. With a fleet of refrigerated trucks, perishable food is picked up from commercial donors and delivered to more than 250 recipient organizations. Recipient partners include soup kitchens, homeless shelters, older adult programs, day care centers, programs for survivors of domestic violence, after-school programs, and pantries serving the working poor. Food is delivered on the day of donation and is provided free of charge. Table to Table raises all its own funds every year, and last year delivered enough food for 38 million meals.
